5 years ago, on the weekend after my birthday, so not technically my birthday, I did this: went to the beach, took photos… and watched the sun rise.

That simple act spawned an amazing year and amazing actions in my life. It also helped me face my fear of getting older and my feelings of being divorced at such a young age.

I decided to go see the sun rise again this morning… but those photos are private. I may let a few people peek here and there, but, they’ll probably stay that way. And now, it’s off to round two of what makes a birthday great….
