How my politically inclined brain thinks:  Even if Robert Redford is playing the one that went incredibly crazily to the “right” and loosened his journalistic integrity, he’s still Robert Redford… 

Considering having another glass of merlot because typing has not yet become a challenge enough…

The Conspirator - Directed by Robert Redford 

A sleeper of a movie, set just after the Civil War, “The Conspirator” brings up a ridiculous amount of questions about our nation, the assumption of innocence, and many of our rights as citizens.  It doesn’t seek to re-try Mary Surratt for her crimes, but examine just how unfair her military tribunal was, as opposed to what rights she deserved as a civilian and what kind of trial she should have received.
