I haven’t had a complete day to myself in over a week. So, I’m doing what I can today to rest, because I’ve kind of worked myself into exhaustion and my allergies are threatening to just take over my world.
For me, as an asthmatic, it goes: allergies: sinus infection: upper respiratory infection: bronchities: pneumonia, if I don’t try to stop it before it gets to sinus infection. If it gets into serious sinus infection I cannot stop it from getting to URI and very rarely can I stop that from getting to bronchitis. The pneumonia isn’t as easy territory to get into, thank goodness. Learning all of this was crucial for me to stop saying, “oh, I just need a little bit more sleep and rest and no medication and I’ll be fine,” because when you have a mom that loves pills and thinks all you need is to find a magic pill to be better, you kind of don’t like taking them, and, historically, I don’t.
So, plenty of fluids + rest + medication that makes me wonky / sleepy = kind of quiet me for the rest of the day and a vegging in front of the TV day (Scandal and the Winchesters!).
At least I’m not alone with the allergy struggle. Lexi has a difficult time with them, seasonally, too and she seems to be feeling it today, as well. One of the other crucial things I’ve learned lately, is the value of localized raw honey, so I’m about to give her a spoonful of it and myself, as well.
The weather is also contributing to our “blah” day… overcast. A wonderful day for a nap (after a late lunch) if I can sleep after I get some coffee.

March 15th is one of my favourite days of the year and I’m celebrating today by wearing one of my girliest dresses and the weather complied and gave me an awesome hair day! Yay!
My most personal blog post yet! I hope that you can learn something from my mistakes. Honored if you’d check it out!

My new philosophy… It may be broken, but unless you’re willing to tell me what you’re willing to do to change it, I don’t want to hear it.
